Through Drakkar Production, "Dawn of Iron Blades" is being reissued once again. More than twenty years ago, it became the fifth Graveland album to be placed on the German index of banned recordings by the censorship authority Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien.
Alongside such cult releases as "The Celtic Winter", "Immortal Pride", "Following the Voice of Blood" and "In the Glare of Burning Churches", this album was placed on the German index of banned recordings more than twenty years ago. I will spare you my comments on this absurd situation, everyone can see what has been happening in that country for years.
Because of this censorship, No Colours Records was visited twice by what felt like a political police force, as if we were living in some Cold War-era communist state. The authorities thoroughly inspected the label's documentation, looking for any possible irregularities. They also confiscated Graveland releases, including the then newly issued colored-cover edition of "Following the Voice of Blood".
The CDs were permanently seized, and No Colours Records was burdened with financial penalties. However, the real objective of these actions was to destabilize the label and ultimately force it out of business. They came close to achieving that goal. Fortunately, No Colours Records had deep roots within the Black Metal underground and managed to survive those difficult times.
Today, "Dawn of Iron Blades" is once again available on vinyl, CD and cassette. Drakkar Production has also prepared a T-shirt dedicated to this release. As far as I can remember, there has never been an official "Dawn of Iron Blades" shirt before.
In addition, this summer the label will be reissuing several other sold-out Graveland albums for which it holds the distribution rights.
Drakkar Production, alongside No Colours Records and Osmose Productions, belongs to that rare group of labels that have been connected to Black Metal since the very beginning of their existence. They are an undeniable part of the history of this genre.
I believe it is better to support labels that have proven their dedication to Black Metal over decades and helped build this scene, rather than labels that supported censorship or only became interested in Black Metal once it became fashionable and profitable.
The reissue of "Dawn of Iron Blades" can, of course, be ordered directly from the Drakkar Productions online store. If you would like to support a label that has remained loyal to Black Metal and its underground roots for decades, this is a good opportunity to do so.

The idea of releasing an album with Polish vocals already appeared in the year 2000, mainly because I was encouraged by fans in Poland. Later, for the album Creed of Iron, I recorded additional tracks with Polish vocals.
This version of Creed of Iron with Polish vocals was later released in 2001 by Nawia Prod. under the title Prawo Stali.
The next Polish-language albums were not created until 2012. It was an idea from Warheart Records, which wanted me to record Polish vocals for all subsequent releases. While recording the vocals, we were also able to refine other instruments, such as drums and keyboards.
In the following years, three albums were created in this way: Ogień Przebudzenia, Pamięć i Przeznaczenie, and Świt Stalowych Ostrzy.
Today, for the first time, these first two albums are available on vinyl, featuring the artwork used in their original English-language editions. Digi Packs have also been released.
The vinyl editions have been carefully produced on textured paper with a silver-embossed logo by Asrar Records, in gatefold format, including A3 posters. This is a limited edition of 300 copies.
